**Job Summary**:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients. They must monitor patients, administer medications, perform assessments, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
**Responsibilities and Duties**:
1. Monitor and assess critically ill patients' conditions
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
3. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop care plans
4. Monitor and adjust medical equipment as necessary
5. Educate patients and families on treatment plans and care strategies
6. Document patient care and progress accurately
7. Respond to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as needed
**Qualifications and Skills**:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice
2. BLS and ACLS certification
3. Critical care or ICU experience preferred
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
6. Attention to detail and strong clinical judgment
7. Ability to work well in a team setting
