Job Description
Job Title: Scrub Technologist
Job Summary: The Scrub Technologist will assist surgeons and other medical staff in the operating room by ensuring that equipment and supplies are set up and functional for surgical procedures. They are responsible for sterilizing and maintaining surgical instruments, monitoring patient conditions during operations, and providing support to the surgical team.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Assisting in surgical procedures by providing instruments and equipment required during the procedure
- Evaluate patient condition and provide assistance as necessary
- Ensure patient safety during procedures by monitoring vital signs, positioning patients, and maintaining a sterile environment
- Manage surgical inventory and supply delivery
- Maintain a clean and organized environment in the operating room
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program
- CPR certification
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to handle stress, work in a fast-paced environment, and work well within a team
