Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Technician Sterile Processing (SPT) to join our team. The Technician SPT will be responsible for ensuring that all medical equipment and instruments are properly sterilized and maintained according to strict guidelines and procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Sterilize medical equipment and instruments using various methods, including autoclaves and chemical solutions
- Inspect and assemble instrument trays and surgical sets
- Monitor sterilization equipment to ensure it is functioning properly
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and equipment maintenance
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent contamination and infections
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely and efficient instrument processing
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification in Sterile Processing Technology (CBSPD or IAHCSMM) preferred
- Previous experience in sterile processing or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
