We are seeking a dedicated Wound Care LPN to join our healthcare team. The Wound Care LPN will be responsible for assessing, treating, and monitoring patients with wounds to ensure proper healing and prevent complications.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients with wounds, including documenting size, location, and appearance
- Develop individualized care plans for each patient based on their specific wound care needs
- Perform wound care treatments such as dressing changes, debridement, and wound irrigation
- Educate patients and their families on proper wound care techniques and prevention strategies
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor patient progress and make adjustments to the care plan as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a valid state license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in wound care management
- Strong knowledge of wound care best practices and treatment techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- CPR certification is preferred
