Summary :
Reporting to the Administrative Practice Manager and the Physician Services Coordinator, the Administrative Assistant, Physician Services performs a broad range of administrative tasks to facilitate the smooth and efficient operations of the Physician Services department. This position supports hospice, palliative care, and primary care providers and is an integral member of the Physician Services Team. The Administrative Assistant, Physician Services provides administrative support to providers in the field, interacting with referral sources, and providing excellent customer service to our patients.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma required, Associate's degree preferred.
- Minimum of one year experience in a medical facility or medical office setting or an administrative assistant role in another setting.
- Scheduling experience in a high paced environment preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated skill in managing communications through email, telephone and in person.
- Professional and pleasant telephone manner.
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability multi-task, to manage competing priorities, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and proven ability to master multiple EMRs required.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment as well as proven understanding of when to enlist assistance.
- Ability to handle highly confidential medical information, including ability to understand and use email via encryption when necessary.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to function as a member of a team.
- Ability to interact with diverse personalities and styles.
