Join Our Team as a Manager, Health Information Management (HIM)
Are you a dedicated Health Information Management professional looking for a leadership role in a dynamic healthcare environment? We are seeking a Manager, Health Information Management (HIM) to oversee the daily operations of our Health Information department. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to ensure the integrity, privacy, and compliance of clinical records while making a meaningful impact on patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all Health Information Management operations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and accrediting body regulations.
- Supervise and develop HIM staff, including hiring, performance evaluations, and training.
- Ensure the security and privacy of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor and enhance electronic medical records (EMR) processes and train staff on EMR systems.
- Collaborate with leadership to prepare for audits, accreditation cycles, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that support documentation accuracy and efficiency.
- Support Compliance and HIPAA Privacy Officers as needed to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Analyze data and reports to drive improvements in clinical documentation and billing compliance.
What We're Looking For:
- Education & Experience: Associate degree required (Bachelor's degree preferred). Minimum of five (5) years of HIM experience, including at least three (3) years in a supervisory role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in EMR systems, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and healthcare databases.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of HIPAA, CMS, CHAP, TJC, and DPH standards.
- Leadership & Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a team, communicate effectively, and provide training.
- Attention to Detail: Strong auditing, monitoring, and data analysis skills.
- Integrity & Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
