Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of youth and their families? We are seeking a dedicated Family Support Partner to join our Turning Point Program team. In this role, you will provide essential support to families navigating mental health, substance use, and psychotic disorder challenges. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to empower families to overcome these complex issues and improve their overall quality of life. This part-time position offers the opportunity to work between 10 and 25 hours per week, with some flexibility for telework.

What youll be doing :
Provide peer support to parents / caregivers, sharing personal experiences and guiding them through the process of recovery
Assist families in engaging with community resources and building resilience
Collaborate with other specialists, including therapists, case managers, and psychiatrists, to support the familys recovery goals
Document interactions and services in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with Medicaid and other regulatory standards
Participate in youth and family team meetings to offer guidance and advocacy
Provide after-hours telephone or face-to-face support as needed
Requirements :
Must be a biological or adoptive parent or a caregiver of a child with emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges
Experience navigating Virginias behavioral health system with your child
Experience working with families dealing with psychosis or at-risk for psychosis
Proficiency in MS Suite and experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
1-2 years of experience providing recovery services in a human services environment
Experience collaborating with families and community stakeholders
High school diploma or GED required; bachelors degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field preferred
Certification as a Parent Support Partner, Peer Recovery Specialist, or National Certified Peer Specialist is a plus
Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
