We're looking for a Fire Suppression Design Engineer to join a leading team in Harrison, OH. Whether youre a seasoned senior or a junior designer ready to grow, this role offers the chance to specialize in special hazard fire suppression and fire alarm systems. What youll be doing :

  • Designing life safety and asset protection systems using AutoCAD and proprietary software, ensuring compliance with local, national, and manufacturer standards.
  • Guiding contractors on the correct installation and operation of systems.
  • Conducting site surveys to confirm accurate system design and installation.
  • Reviewing and implementing customer-supplied project specifications.
  • Developing project-specific operation and maintenance manuals and updating drawings.
  • Assisting with engineering-related office tasks and occasional system inspection, maintenance, startups, and commissioning as needed.

    • Requirements :

  • Previous experience in the Fire Protection Industry, particularly with special hazard fire suppression and fire alarm systems (sprinkler-only design experience will not be suitable).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D drafting and familiarity with 3D design software.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to convey technical information effectively.
  • Commitment to learning industry standards and obtaining NICET certification.
