Senior Manufacturing Engineer Medical Devices

What youll be doing :
Develop and optimize efficient, cost-effective manufacturing processes for medical devices, focusing on capital and disposable systems.
Design and produce production-level assembly and part drawings using SolidWorks.
Implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Six Sigma, and LEAN principles to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs.
Validate manufacturing processes through experimental design, statistical analysis, and protocol execution.
Coordinate technical activities with contract manufacturers and vendors to ensure the scalability of manufacturing systems.
Drive the creation of detailed process documentation, including BOMs, work instructions, and risk mitigation plans.
Conduct design reviews, pFMEA sessions, and manufacturing risk assessments.
Serve as a liaison between R&D, quality assurance, and operations teams to ensure smooth design transfer and compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements :
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
5 years of experience in medical device manufacturing , including at least three years in new product development and design transfer.
Hands-on experience with cart systems, console operations, and electromechanical devices .
Proficiency in SolidWorks , particularly with assemblies containing numerous components.
Proven ability to work with contract manufacturers for capital equipment, electronics, or catheter manufacturing.
Expertise in process validation, DFM, Six Sigma, LEAN, and cGMP principles.
Proficiency in statistical analysis tools like Minitab or JMP .
Strong skills in technical documentation and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
