Senior Controls Engineer Addison, TX (On-Site, Hybrid)
About the Job
We are looking for a Senior Controls Engineer to join our team in Addison, TX .
This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with hands-on expertise in PLC, HMI, SCADA, and DCS / Emerson DeltaV platforms .
You will play a key role in leading automation projects , working directly with clients, and mentoring junior engineers.
If you have recent DeltaV experience (2-3 years minimum) and a strong background in industrial automation , this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

What youll be doing :
Design, implement, and optimize control systems for industrial automation.Develop PLC-5 to ControlLogix conversions and Batch / Recipe automation .Program controllers ( PLC, DCS / DeltaV ) using Ladder Logic, Sequential Function Chart, and Structured Text .Configure HMI / SCADA applications using platforms like FactoryTalk, Aveva, Ignition, GE iFIX, and Siemens Winn CC .Design and implement industrial networking using Ethernet / IP, Profinet, and Modbus .Act as a technical lead on projects and mentor junior engineers .Assist with project management tasks, including execution planning and budgeting.Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting at client sites.Requirements :
Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience).10 years of experience in automation and controls engineering.Recent (2-3 years) hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV .Strong knowledge of PLC hardware / software platforms (Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Modicon).Expertise in HMI / SCADA platforms (FactoryTalk, Aveva, Ignition, GE iFIX, Siemens Winn CC).Familiarity with DCS platforms (Emerson DeltaV or similar) .Experience with Batch / Recipe automation, OEE, MES, and ERP systems .Ability to lead projects while remaining hands-on (not a full PM role).Client-facing experience with strong communication skills.Willing to travel up to 25% (local to Dallas area) .Nice to Have :
PMP certification .Experience with AutoCAD and electrical schematics .Background in Semiconductor or Life Sciences industries .Knowledge of power distribution under 480VAC and NEC compliance .Does this sound like something you want to be part of?
