Animal Care Technicians (ACT) are responsible for ensuring the comfort, cleanliness and enjoyment of our boarding guests through compassionate animal handling, feeding, watering, exercising and maintaining a clean boarding environment. ACT's have a strong inclination for customer service, a desire and commitment to educate our clients on how they can best care for their beloved family members, and a passionate pursuit for animal care.
Job Duties:
- The ACT's assist in accepting and discharging boarders and day-camp customers.
- Evaluate and check geriatric/special-needs pets and alert the doctor when appropriate.
- Feed and water dogs and cats.
- Walk dogs, clean cages, runs and kennels.
- Administer oral medications.
- Coordinate daily activities to include prioritizing bathing order, note medicated baths, clean tub areas and cages.
- Supervising day camp session.
- Laundry duties to include washing/drying/folding and putting away towels and other laundry.
- Light cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping and disinfecting.
