Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Med passer/ Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by promoting their independence and well-being. This position requires a strong commitment to upholding resident rights, ensuring patient safety, and delivering personalized care tailored to each individual's needs.
Duties
- Provide personal care services, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and document changes in residents' health status and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist residents with mobility and physical activities to promote physical health and independence.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality of resident information.
- Support residents with memory care needs by implementing appropriate strategies and activities that enhance cognitive function.
- Uphold resident rights by treating individuals with dignity and respect at all times.
- Engage in patient observation to identify any changes in behavior or health that may require attention.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents' quality of life.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health or senior care is preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
- Familiarity with memory care techniques and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills to monitor patients' conditions effectively.
- Ability to prepare nutritious meals while accommodating dietary restrictions as needed.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
