We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant's to join our team. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care services. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Responsibilities -
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, including meal preparation and laundry
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and social outings, as needed
- Monitor and record vital signs, as needed
- Follow all HIPAA guidelines to ensure client privacy and confidentiality
- Provide direct support to individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments
- Assist individuals with autism spectrum disorder in their daily routines and activities
Preferred Qualifications, but no required-
- Previous experience in personal care or a related field
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with direct support principles and practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Understanding of social work principles and ethics
- Experience working in nursing homes or assisted living facilities is a plus
- Proficiency in taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, as needed
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
