Job Summary
The CARE Healing Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual assault and human trafficking through comprehensive services, advocacy, and education. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Development Director to lead our fundraising efforts and expand our financial resources to support and grow our mission.
The Advancement Coordinator is a key role responsible for driving the organization’s fundraising initiatives and enhancing its public presence. This position requires a strategic thinker with a passion for relationship management and a proven track record in securing funding through various channels. The Advancement Coordinator will work closely with the executive team, board members, and community stakeholders to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies that align with the organization's mission and goals. This position is contractual with potential for full-time based on performance and funding availability.
Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans to meet organizational goals.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.
- Oversee proposal writing efforts to secure grants and funding from various sources.
- Manage public relations efforts to enhance the organization’s visibility and reputation.
- Plan and execute fundraising events, ensuring they align with the overall strategy.
- Utilize digital marketing techniques to promote initiatives and engage potential donors.
- Maintain accurate records of donor interactions and contributions using relevant software.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling content for newsletters and campaigns
- Monitor trends in philanthropy, estate planning, and digital marketing to inform strategies.
Experience
- Proven experience in development or fundraising roles, preferably within a nonprofit setting.
- Strong skills in public relations, relationship management, and events management.
- Proficiency in proposal writing, including grant applications and funding proposals.
- Experience with digital marketing strategies that effectively engage audiences online.
- Knowledge of estate planning principles as they relate to charitable giving is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to connect with diverse audiences.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $80.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Evenings as needed
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
