Job Description
As a Dementia Respite Caregiver, you will provide supportive and enriching care for seniors in 4-hour increments, helping them stay safe, active, and comfortable at home. You’ll have the freedom to create a schedule that works for you. This is an excellent opportunity for caregivers who are passionate about dementia care and want to make a real difference.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer companionship and engagement activities designed for individuals with dementia
- Assist with light personal care tasks (e.g., meal prep, reminders for medication, minimal mobility support)
- Ensure a safe environment and communicate any changes in the client’s condition
- Collaborate with families to understand individual needs, preferences, and goals
- Maintain professionalism and compassion in all interactions
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with seniors or individuals with dementia (either professionally or personally)
- CNA, HHA, PCA, or similar certification required
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately
- Reliable, responsible, and committed to providing high-quality care
- Ability to pass required background checks
