Care Initiatives is now hiring a Communications Specialist to join our team!
Care Initiatives is the largest nonprofit nursing home organization with over forty (40) skilled nursing communities, seven (7) hospice offices (and growing!), plus our own internal staffing agency, we are committed to providing exceptional care and support at every stage of the healthcare journey.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Communications Specialist to support our external and internal communications efforts. Phenomenal communication and copywriting skills make a strong Communications Specialist. Experience in corporate communications and project management are important qualities too. This role will be responsible for developing and executing a corporate social media strategy while expanding our digital footprint and oversees our social communications efforts. In addition, this person will play a critical role in supporting sales, marketing and recruitment efforts through strategic brand promotion via digital and printed collateral.

This person will ensure consistent messaging across various channels, including internal communications, website content and social media, by developing content, managing public perception, and maintaining a positive brand image.

What you'd do as a Communications Specialist at Care Initiatives:
- Creatively tell our story
- Craft internal and external messaging and content to support communications strategies.
- Support content creation for current and future communications channels.
- Strategically manage social media
- Develop and implement a social media channel and content strategy.
- Create and manage social media marketing campaigns.
- Ensure brand voice and consistency are carried through content.
- Create and design social media graphics, videos, images, etc.
- Support creative services
- Provide design support for internal, external and marketing communications.
- Develop and launch branded templates to support internal and external needs.
- Track and Report Performance
- Monitor, track and report social media engagement metrics and progress toward goals.
- Monitor, track and report website performance.
- Monitor, track and report marketing performance – social media, digital.
- Bachelor’s degree required with concentration in communications, journalism, or similar field required.
- Minimum 4 years of creative social media strategy, content design and development.
- Experience in internal communications is preferred.
- Graphic design background; proficiency with Canva and/or inDesign.
- Fluent in WordPress, Google Analytics, SharePoint and major social media platforms.
- Basic understanding of Google Analytics, managing Google Business Profiles and Google Ads.
- Knowledge in interpreting brand guides and AP Style a bonus.
- Occasional travel required.
