Care Initiatives currently is hiring an experienced Travel Hospice Program Director to join our team to assist with hospice needs throughout Iowa & Omaha, Nebraska.
Serving as a Travel Hospice Program Director, you enjoy the excitement of working throughout Iowa and Omaha, Nebraska supporting our eight (8) hospice locations and teams. You bring to the table a proven background of successes. Areas of successes may include but are not limited to engagement and retention of team members, increased census and diversified case mix, people and business development, survey readiness, ability to successfully manage a budget and reallocate resources as needed, promoting and fostering positive relationships with your internal and external team members, patients and their families, other healthcare providers, and the greater communities in which we serve.
Summary: We are looking for an exceptional operational and clinical leader with strong hospice knowledge and experience who will cultivate teamwork, a culture of continuous improvement, compassionately serve others, and promote skill development and personal growth for staff. The Traveling Program Director will assist with clinical manager responsibilities and day-to-day operations of assigned hospice locations. This exciting role is responsible for developing effective clinical and operational strategy and directing the team to assure patients receive the consistently high-quality care we are committed to delivering. Flexibility to travel throughout Iowa & Omaha, Nebraska, including overnight stays are required.

What it takes to be a Travel Program Director with Care Initiatives Hospice:
- Active RN license (or ability to activate) in the state(s) in which you operate.
- Active CPR certification.
- Hospice or palliative care experience, required.
- Two years of recent clinical leadership experience in hospice, oncology, home health or public health nursing; hospice experience preferred.
