Intake Customer Service Representative
Care IV Home Health, a locally owned and operated home health agency, seeks a full-time Intake Customer Service Representative. This is a full-time office-based role with excellent benefits located at our corporate headquarters in Little Rock, AR. As an Intake Customer Service Rep, you would report to our Intake Manager. This is a role that requires a great deal of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and solid computer skills. A friendly demeanor and the ability to multitask are also important. Intake Customer Service Representative Duties & Responsibilities:
- Answering phone calls from potential home health patients and referral sources, such as hospital case managers and physician's offices.
- Describing Care IV's home health service options to patients and referral sources.
- Over the phone, evaluating and determining whether the patient is suitable for home health care.
- Verify that their payer source is in the network with Care IV.
- Sending and receiving faxes with vital supporting documentation, signed orders, etc.
- Following up with physicians, clinics, long-term care facilities, hospitals, etc.
- Coordinating new patient onboarding with our marketing team to ensure satisfactory customer service to the referral sources and our patients.
- Inputting new patient data into the computer system and assisting the RN with tracking and data reporting.
- Other duties as assigned
Intake Customer Service Rep Required experience:
We are looking for a highly professional candidate to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- Three to five professional references that can attest to your skills and experience in a medical office setting.
- Recent experience working in a clinic or other professional medical office setting is required, with a minimum of one year of experience.
- A solid history of excellent customer service in an office setting.
- Excellent computer skills and a working knowledge of office machinery (computers, multi-line phones, fax machines, email, etc.) are essential.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a must-have skill.
- Experience with patient intake and processing new patient referrals is preferred.
- Experience in a Home Health office is a plus but not required.
