Objectives of the Position: The Executive Director’s primary goal is to achieve the mission of Care Net. The ideal candidate will have full responsibility for the pregnancy center, the clinic, and the mobile unit. This responsibility includes the implementation of the policies and procedures approved by the Board of Directors within the parameters of the resource center’s budget, as well as all of the following: fundraising, community and public relations, 501(c)3 requirements, adhering to all applicable state and federal rules & regulations, program development, staff and volunteer management, day-to-day center administration, and all additional items as delineated below.
Reports to: Care Net of Missoula’s Board of Directors
Supervises: All paid and volunteer staff
Qualifications:
- Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
- Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of all human life.
- Agree with and be willing to uphold the Mission Statement, Vision Statement, Statement of Faith, Statement of Principle, and policies of the Center.
- Be able to pass a background check.
- Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in a related field, or related equivalent experience.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal communication skills, public speaking, writing, and effective media relations.
- Be able to efficiently and effectively carry out responsibilities without supervision.
Experience:
- Have five-or more years of experience as a volunteer or employee in ministry.
- Have two- or more years of experience in an administrative position with direct experience in supervising paid staff in an efficient and professional office.
- Preferred one- or more years of experience in marketing, fund-raising, grant-writing, donor development, and public relations/development.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative:
- Annually review the Mission with the Board of Directors to ensure it is up to date and clearly sets forth the true vision and goals of the team.
- Maintain an organizational structure and management system which assures efficiency, accountability, and appropriate delegation of tasks.
- Provide managerial support, direction, and supervision to staff and volunteers.
- Hire new staff and conduct proper evaluation of new hires’ abilities.
- Conduct a minimum of yearly written and oral evaluations of personnel. Document and utilize records to assist with development, disciplinary actions, and firing.
- Coordinate with the Treasurer, Board, and staff on annual budget that is presented to the Board of Directors for approval.
- Oversee and ensure that accurate and current financial records are kept, financial policies are upheld, and reports are provided to the Board monthly and upon request. Share access to all information with Director of Operations for the purposes of mutual accountability.
- Oversee expenditures for budgeted expenses of the Center and explain unbudgeted expenses.
- Oversee the compilation of statistical reports, accurate record keeping, and reporting to the Board monthly.
- Keep track of and adhere to all rules and regulations associated with the center, the clinic, the mobile unit, the 501(c)3, tax reporting, payroll, grant obligations, licensing, etc., and do so in a timely and efficient manner.
- Develop and implement an annual calendar (short-term goals), plan special events, and set achievable goals for the staff, according to the mission set by the Board.
- Provide spiritual & professional leadership/training, discipleship/mentorship, encouragement, and direction to the staff.
- Attend all Board meetings and present monthly report, in addition to weekly emailed center updates.
- Oversee implementation and ongoing updates of all office Policy and Procedures and coordinate with the Board regarding new policy approval and implementation.
- Oversee implementation of the donor development program.
Public Relations:
- Oversee and help to Educate the local community, including churches, pastors, community groups, and the professional community about the Center and the sanctity of human life with the goal of obtaining support and involvement with the Center.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of relationships with other ministries/organizations that meet client needs.
- Represent the Center and its services to the community and the media in an appropriate and mission-compliant manner both professionally and personally.
- Oversee the development and revision of promotional materials used in presenting the Center to clients, churches, and the community.
- Work closely with the Board to promote public awareness of the Center through advertisement and church presentations.
The ED will be evaluated on a yearly basis by the Board in both oral and written forms.
Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 DOE
