Job Description:
- Provide direct care to residents under the direction of licensed nursing staff
- Assist residents with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using appropriate lifting and transfer techniques
- Observe and report changes in residents' physical and emotional conditions to nursing staff
- Assist with meal service and feeding residents as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including changing linens, making beds, and tidying up resident living areas
- Participate in resident activities and socialization opportunities
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident care and observations
- Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff
- Other duties as assigned including caregiving, cooking, or housekeeping
- Valid certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) is required in the state of practice
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Previous experience in residential care facility or assisted living setting is preferred
