Job Summary

Manage the operations of the Jim Gillen Anchor Youth Recovery Center; and support/ supervise Teen Recovery Center staff. Program Manger will promote this program, through community outreach and educational forums, and will collaborate with educational and provider programs to help participants access the support they need. Program Manager will oversee development of daily structured activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Manager responsible to support/supervise the operations and activities of the Jim Gillen Anchor

Youth Recovery Center.

Provide weekly supervision for Anchor Youth Recovery Center staff.

Manage procedures, systems of continuous improvement, metrics and outcomes.

Ensure that the budget of the Jim Gillen Anchor Youth Recovery Center is carefully managed.

Assist the Director in providing media interviews and educating the community about the need

for youth recovery support resources.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must possess working knowledge of addictions and recovery, as well as treatment and recovery support services.

Education And/or Experience

BA or higher preferred. Minimum of 5 years experience working in a recovery support setting. Experience with public speaking. Knowledge of national trends in recovery advocacy and recovery support services. Prior supervisory experience and computer experience required. Must also possess good typing skills as well as good spelling and grammar.

Experience with program development. RI State certified Recovery Coach or plan to complete this within first year.

Language Skills

Must possess excellent communications skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions, and policy and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence and to speak effectively with employees of The Center and outside agencies.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
