Contract Psychologist - Freeland, MI
Care One, a leading Michigan staffing agency for over 30 years, is seeking a psychologist to join our team for a full time opening at the Saginaw Correctional Facility. . These professionals will provide mental health services to inmates and play a vital role in their well-being.
- Saginaw Correctional Facility - Freeland, MI
- Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
- No weekends, evenings or holidays
- $75.00/hr

Psychologist Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and develop treatment plans independently or collaboratively.
- Implement treatment programs, leading individual and group therapy sessions as needed.
- Evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary.
- Provide staff development and serve as Treatment Coordinator for assigned patients.
- Complete involuntary hospitalization petitions and adhere to hospital policies and guidelines.
- Prepare medical record documentation and perform additional duties within the scope of practice for effective patient care.
Psychologist Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in psychology or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Obtain a limited or full license to practice psychology in the relevant in the state of Michigan
- Strong skills in psychological assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic techniques.
- Knowledge of ethical guidelines and standards of practice in psychology.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with diverse populations and understand cultural differences in mental health and treatment.
