A Day in the Life of a Care Options for Kids Nurse
Each day begins with communication with the care team, ensuring a smooth transition of care. Our electronic health record (EHR) platform provides comprehensive information on each client, facilitating ease and efficiency.
Our clients greet us warmly, often displaying affectionate behavior despite any physical limitations. We prioritize their comfort and well-being, providing personalized care that addresses their individual needs.
Throughout the day, we engage in various activities, from preparing medications and performing routine trach and g-tube care to promoting mental stimulation and creativity. Our goal is to create a nurturing environment that fosters growth and development.

Responsibilities of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)
- Providing one-to-one nursing care in a home environment
- Taking direction from clinical team and being overseen by a registered nurse
- Following the plan of care
- Following all clinical and office policies
Requirements for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)
- Valid New Jersey LPNLicense or Multistate License
- Physical from within three years
- PPD or Chest X-Ray
- Valid BLS CPR card (obtained in person not online)
- Valid driver's license
- G-tube, trach, vent experience or willing to train
