What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical Nurse position at Care Options for Kids?
About the Role
At Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services, a pediatric care provider, we offer one-to-one care in the home. This setting is different from hospitals, where you might experience chaos and long hours.
You'll work independently with self-sufficient autonomy, making a real difference in your clients' lives. We value your clinical knowledge and respect the bond you establish with the families you care for. If you need support, your Director of Nursing is available 24/7.
A Day in the Life of a Pediatric Nurse
You start your day by communicating with your care team and reviewing information about your client in our electronic health record platform.
Your client greets you warmly and enjoys activities like looking at clouds, hunting for ladybugs, or making flower crowns. You prepare and deliver medications, perform routine trach and g-tube care, and document everything electronically.
Throughout the day, you create a comfortable and engaging environment for your client. When it's time for lunch, you take a break and then continue caring for your client. As the day comes to an end, you finalize your documentation and communicate with the relieving member of your care team.
