Care Options for Kids is a pediatric community healthcare system that delivers specialized clinical care to help children and their families live more fulfilled lives. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with our organization, you will have the opportunity to build your clinical expertise while shaping the lives of your clients and their loved ones every single day.
Our nursing team works collaboratively with the client's family to create a personalized plan of care, taking direction from our clinical team and being overseen by a registered nurse. This ensures that our high standards of care are met at all times, and our clients receive the best possible care.
A Day in the Life of a Care Options for Kids Nurse
As an LPN with our organization, you will work in a home environment, providing one-to-one nursing care to our clients. You will prepare and deliver medications, perform routine trach and g-tube care, and document the dosages and treatments within our dedicated Point of Care platform.
You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our respiratory therapists to provide training and mentorship, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible care. Our team values the deep one-on-one bond you establish with the families you care for, and we respect your clinical knowledge and expertise.

Responsibilities of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)
- Providing one-to-one nursing care in a home environment
- Taking direction from clinical team and being overseen by a registered nurse
- Following the plan of care
- Following all clinical and office policies
Requirements for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)
- Valid Pennsylvania LPN License or Multistate License
- PPD or QuantiFERON
- Valid BLS CPR card (obtained in person not online)
- Valid driver's license
- G-tube, trach, vent experience or willing to train

*Bonus for eligible cases only. The eligible employee will receive $500 after 500 billable hours worked. Eligible employees must complete the pre-onboarding process within 10 days of submission of the initial application. Valid for first-time employees only and on completion of all required documents.
