Responsibilities of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)
- Medication administration according to physician orders
- Physician-ordered treatments, including:
- Nutrition via feeding tube
- Tracheostomy care and suctioning
- Ventilation care and seizure assessment/treatment
Requirements for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)
- Current, active Florida LPN license
- Current BLS CPR card (in-person certification only)
- Experience with G-tube, trach, or vent patients, or willingness to train
- TB Skin Test (PPD) or TB Blood Test (QF)
- Alzheimer's training - 2 Hour DOEA Approved Course (provided at no cost if needed)
- 1-Hour DOEA Alzheimer's Video (available online)
