About the Job:
Care Options for Kids is seeking a School Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health and experience working with children and families in a school-based setting. As a School Social Worker, you will be responsible for assessing and addressing the mental health needs of students, providing counseling services, and collaborating with teachers and administrators to develop and implement individualized plans for students.
Responsibilities:
- Provide mental health services to students in a school-based setting.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other staff members to develop and implement individualized plans for students.
- Conduct assessments and provide counseling services to students, families, and groups.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and resources to support students and families.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement behavioral interventions and crisis response plans.
Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or higher from an accredited university.
- A current active North Carolina License to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize time and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of data and information.
- Knowledge of therapy skills as defined by generally accepted standards of practice.
- Excellent communication – verbal and written, and interpersonal skills.
- Responsive to requests.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto liability insurance.
