Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. The DSP will provide essential support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities, seniors, and those requiring assistance in a group home or home care setting. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by promoting independence and dignity while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Monitor and document vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes in health status are reported promptly.
- Support clients with dementia care, memory care, and other specific needs related to their conditions.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to hygiene standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Assist in transportation to appointments or community activities as required.
- Provide first aid assistance when necessary, ensuring the health and safety of all clients.
Requirements
- Previous experience in senior care, home care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care, memory care techniques, and vital sign monitoring is highly desirable.
- Ability to cook nutritious meals that meet dietary restrictions or preferences of clients.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Certification in First Aid or CPR is a plus.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.

- Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 3pm-11pm
