Job Description:
The Assistant to the Executive Director will provide comprehensive support to the Executive Director (ED), ensuring that all administrative, marketing, and operational needs are met efficiently. This position requires a versatile skill set, including experience with spreadsheets, design, and marketing, as well as a strong ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Executive Director, including scheduling, correspondence, and documentation.
- Assist with preparing reports, presentations, and other materials for meetings or events.
- Handle phone calls and emails, often acting as the first point of contact for the Executive Director.
- Coordinate marketing efforts, including social media content creation, email campaigns, and general outreach.
- Support design tasks, including marketing materials.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an administrative assistant role or similar position.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with design software (e.g., Canva, WordPress) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good phone etiquette and ability to interact professionally with a range of stakeholders.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
