Job Description: Housekeeper
Care & Rehab – Cumberland is a 50-bed skilled nursing facility located in the beautiful Island City of Cumberland, WI. Care & Rehab - Cumberland is a family-owned company that has been providing both long- and short-term skilled care in our communities for 25 years.
Job Summary:
The housekeeper is responsible for disinfecting assigned areas and performing other duties such as keeping common areas, hallways, bathrooms, and patient rooms clean and sanitary. The housekeeper does not supervise others but makes decisions regarding how to most effectively complete tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Collect garbage and recycling
- Cleans windows, window trim, and windowsills
- Sweeps and mop the floor
- Vacuum or carpet clean carpets, rugs, chairs, or sofas
- Clean light figures and vents
- Washes and cleans walls, including baseboards
- Works with other departments to schedule cleaning projects
- Cleans bathrooms, water fountains, and closets
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Certification in sanitation
- Respect to one's personal belongings and space
- Must be willing to work every other weekend
