Overview
Care Remedy is seeking a qualified and motivated Assistive Technology Specialist to join our team. The candidate will work on a per-diem basis, remotely assisting clients referred by Care Remedy with their assistive technology needs. A RESNA certification is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients’ assistive technology (AT) needs.
  • Recommend, procure, and customize AT devices to improve clients’ functional capabilities.
  • Provide training and technical support to clients and caregivers on the use of AT devices.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure AT solutions align with clients' needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client assessments, recommendations, and progress reports.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in assistive technology.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technology or health field (e.g., rehabilitation engineering, occupational therapy).
  • At least 2 years of experience in assistive technology assessments and training.
  • RESNA certification as an Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely.
  • Proficiency in virtual communication tools and basic troubleshooting.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with disabilities and seniors.
  • Familiarity with adaptive devices for mobility, communication, and environmental control.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal AT programs and funding sources.

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Work remotely on a per-diem basis.
  • Flexible schedule based on client needs.
  • Competitive hourly rate.
