What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Pharmacy Technician position at Care Rx Pharmacy?
Pharmacy Technician works under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist or other
supervisory/management-level position. Obtains new patients’ clinical and prescription plan coverage
information, reviews new prescription and/or prescription. Receives and stores incoming supplies,
verifies stock and enters data to maintain inventory records. Provides customer service, quality control,
and sales reporting to support Pharmacy Name sales initiatives and priorities. Must meet state
registration requirements.
1. Accurately and efficiently prepare prescription orders
2. Verify prescription information and dosage
3. Enter patient and order information into the pharmacy system
4. Process and submit insurance claims
5. Provide quality customer service to patients and other healthcare providers
6. Prepares inventory reports for pharmacist review
7. Submits, receives, and places inventory in stock.
8. Assists with the reviews and handling of all adjudicated prescription claims to ensure
appropriateness of reimbursement co-pay and related financials and follows up on all such claims
deemed inappropriate as directed.
9. Assists Pharmacist by providing required information for therapeutic consults with patients.
10. Intervenes with Pharmacy Benefit Manager Companies to resolve plan and patient specific
adjudication issues.
11. Performs related duties as assigned.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements
Normally requires a minimum of two (2) years directly related and progressively responsible pharmacy
Pharmacy technician certified with a state or national
technical certification organization preferred.
