Gentle Care Strategies - 5 Star SNF/LTC

Gentle Care Strategies is seeking a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to join our team in Vincennes, IN. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Nurse Aide/Medication Aide in a licensed nursing home, with a focus on rehab to home care and long term care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medication to patients as prescribed by the physician
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and report any concerns to the nursing staff
• Document medication administration and patient care in electronic medical records
• Assist with meal service and feeding as needed
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families

Requirements:

• Current QMA certification in the state of Indiana
• Experience as a Medication Aide in a licensed nursing home
• Experience with dementia care and long term care
• Ability to work day shift, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to work 12 hour shifts
