Care to Stay Home a leader in the home care industry is looking for caregivers to join our team! we are a family owned and operated in home care agency in business since 2008. When you join our team you will be working with clients following a one-on-one care plan in their homes. You operate with a big heart, not only providing personalized and attentive care, but by building genuine relationships with those you serve. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a healthy environment that meets patient needs. Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to succeed in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting with bathing, grooming, hygiene and other personal care needs
- Aid in cooking/meal preparation
- Light housekeeping tasks, like changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home
- Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles
- Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor
- Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert
- Give medication reminders
- Engage patients in exercises or other activities
- Dependability to show up for assigned shifts on time
Shifts Available:
- Days between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm - 4 hour part time, 8 hour full time, 12 hours (3 or 4 days a week)
- Nights between 8:00 pm and 8:00 am - 12 hour awake shifts
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least two years of experience caring for seniors
- CNA highly desirable but experience will substitute
- Driver’s license required
- CPR certification preferred
