About You
As a Veterinary Technician, you'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to surgery assistance, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.
Experience & Skills Requirements :
- Veterinary technician licensure required or (depending on state requirements) 2-3 years of Veterinary Assistant experience
- 1-2 years of ER / ICU clinical experience
- Must have surgical, anesthesia, and ER / ICU
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program preferred; or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

CARE Veterinary Center is a 24 / 7 Emergency Hospital located in Frederick, Maryland. At CARE Veterinary Center, we provide 24 / 7 emergency and specialty care to dogs and cats in the DC metropolitan and the MD, WV, and PA tri-state area. We offer Internal Medicine, Surgery, Rehabilitation, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
We have a highly trained and qualified staff of veterinarians to treat your animals. Our goal is to not do what a primary care veterinarian does but to complement what they do.
We have specialists in a variety of service areas including surgery, orthopedic surgery, internal medicine, sports medicine, rehabilitation, and pain management. Our specialists are available by appointment on weekdays and are always on-call for emergencies.
