Description:
We are urgently seeking a compassionate and experienced caregiver for a wonderful client in South Haven, MI. The client is a presentable lady who is oxygen-dependent due to COPD, lymphoma, and a blood disorder. This role will involve assisting with activities of daily living to help maintain her comfort, independence, and well-being. If you have prior caregiving experience and are ready to make a positive impact in someone’s life, we would love to have you on our team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care such as showers (client does not use perfume or socks).
- Provide assistance with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition.
- Help with light housekeeping and laundry duties.
- Support the client with shopping and errands as needed.
- Ensure comfort and safety, ensuring the client’s independence is maintained.
- Monitor the client’s health, including assisting with oxygen as needed.
- Foster a positive and supportive relationship through companionship.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a caregiver is required (1 years).
- Must be compassionate, reliable, and patient.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to assist with oxygen care and light mobility assistance.
- Must be comfortable providing care for individuals with medical conditions such as COPD, lymphoma, and a blood disorder.
- Must be able to perform personal care tasks, including showering assistance.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred, but not required.
- Non-smoker preferred, as the client is a smoker.
