Job Title: Experienced Caregiver - Immediate Hiring (12-Hour Shifts)
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Position Type: Full-Time
Shift Timings: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM & 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM
Starting Pay: $15.00 per hour
About the Position:
We are urgently hiring dedicated and experienced caregivers to provide compassionate, high-quality care to individuals in need. As a caregiver with us, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our clients. This position is for caregivers with experience using Hoyer lifts, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in someone's life.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily activities, including personal care, mobility assistance, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
- Safely operate Hoyer lift to assist with transferring clients in and out of bed, chairs, and other areas
- Monitor and record client’s health and physical condition, including tracking vital signs and administering medications when needed
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Ensure client safety and follow care plans outlined by family members or medical professionals
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
- Assist with any additional duties as needed based on the care plan
Qualifications:
- Must have experience as a caregiver, with specific experience in using Hoyer lifts
- Previous experience working with elderly, disabled, or special needs individuals preferred
- Reliable, responsible, and trustworthy
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM or 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Ability to lift and assist clients as needed
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred but not required)
- Background check and drug screening required
