We are urgently seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Caregiver to join our team in Kalamazoo, MI. As a Caregiver, you will provide personalized care to clients in the comfort of their homes, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment. Your responsibilities may include assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), medication reminders, personal hygiene, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and providing companionship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.).
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Prepare and serve meals as per dietary guidelines.
- Assist with mobility and transfers.
- Monitor and remind clients to take their medications.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks.
- Run errands and accompany clients to appointments (Mileage reimbursed).
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Follow care plans and provide updates to family members or healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
- Previous caregiving experience is required.
- Must have a caring, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (for errands).
- Ability to follow instructions and implement care plans effectively.
- Must be comfortable assisting with personal care tasks.
