Job Overview:
This position is for a Male. He uses an oxygen machine and relies on a walker to get around. He is a fall risk so he must be watch when transferring. He cant see very well but he loves to talk and listens to the TV. He needs someone to spend the day with him and help him through his daily tasks. The schedule is non negotiable and is Monday through Friday 9AM to 5PM and Saturdays 9AM to 3PM.
As a Care Worker, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with disabilities or other special needs. Your role will involve providing patient care, assisting with daily activities, and promoting a safe and comfortable environment for our clients as well as companionship.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Implement behavior management strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of clients
- Assist with mobility and transfers as needed
- Engage clients in social activities and promote their overall well-being as well as provide safe companionship to promote a healthy lifestyle.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
Experience:
- Previous experience working in Home Health is preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality is preferred
- Familiarity with working in a healthcare or social work setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
