Job Overview:
***We are seeking aides in McDonald 15057 to help qualified waiver participants with their daily activities such as errands, meal prep, light cleaning, laundry and companionship. Our pay rate starts at 13.00 (qualifications can help to increase) and we offer OverTime (OT paid out at time and a half rate) for anything over 40 hrs/wk. ***
As a Care Worker, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with disabilities or other special needs or simply needing assistance completing every day tasks. Your role will involve providing patient care, assisting with daily activities, and promoting a safe and comfortable environment for our clients as well as companionship.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Implement behavior management strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of clients
- Assist with mobility and transfers as needed
- Engage clients in social activities and promote their overall well-being as well as provide safe companionship to promote a healthy lifestyle.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
Experience:
- Previous experience working in Home Health is preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality is preferred
- Familiarity with working in a healthcare or social work setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
