Volunteer Coordinator
Salary: $55-65k/yr BOE
Schedule: Full time | M-F| 8:00AM-4:00PM
Location: Dayton, Ohio, surrounding areas
Requirements of the Volunteer Coordinator role:
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting. (Hospice preferred)
- Human Resources/recruiting experience required
- Knowledge of Medicare hospice conditions of participation
- Ability to adapt to various roles, including but not limited to recruiting, educator, HR, leadership, and preparing financial reports.
About the Volunteer Coordinator role:
- Responsible for managing the volunteer program.
- Develop and implement the volunteer training and orientation program.
- Provide volunteers with assignments. If the assignment is with a patient, the volunteer coordinator reviews the Plan of Care with Volunteer before a visit.
- Supervise in the field when needed.
- Maintain Volunteer personnel files.
- Attend IDG meetings
- Participate in QAPI activities
- Maintain monthly statistics regarding the volunteer program.
- Maintain a line of communication with the Volunteers
- Assume responsibility for self-development by continually striving to improve practice through formal education, attendance at workshops and conferences, active participation in professional and related organizational meetings, and individual research and reading.
