Role Title: Technical Support Specialist
FLSA Category: Non-Exempt
Role Location: Newton NJ 07860
Reporting Relationships:
This position reports to the Division Chief Information Officer.
Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions:
- Support users (remote and on-site) with technical assistance, network connectivity equipment diagnosis and troubleshooting of hardware and software.
- Monitoring and resolving tickets from the support desk ticketing system.
- Maintain and troubleshoot PCs and peripherals.
- Collaborate with internal IT Team Members and escalate tickets when needed.
- Develop an understanding of key office workflows and make recommendations to improve the processes with technology.
- Assist with IT services projects and initiatives.
- Assist in troubleshooting wireless and wired network connections.
- Provide training on an as-needed basis for employees and staff.
- Assist in deployment of innovative technologies and other related tasks.
- Focus quickly on understanding the needs of any given office and build strong relationships with practice managers and office staff.
Non-Essential Functions
- Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in Help Desk support configuring, upgrading, and repairing desktops, laptops, and associated hardware.
- 1-3 years of experience in troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft 365 Applications, and Active Directory.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Strong experience with Windows laptops and PCs.
- Ability to learn and adopt new concepts and technologies.
- Basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Experience with Microsoft 365.
- Experience with monitoring systems.
- Ability to work independently and make independent decisions through detailed analysis and review.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Experience with assisting the network team in troubleshooting routers switches and replacing equipment if needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Mainly sedentary.
- Sitting at the desk most of the day.
- Standing or walking for less than two hours per day.
- Lifting no more than ten pounds on rare occasions.
- Must be able to work at a computer and answer phone calls on a regular basis.

The Salary range for this position is
$25/hr. - $32/hr.
Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role.
Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
