The Role of IT Specialist
Carebox is a global, geographically distributed company with a mostly home-based workforce.
The IT Specialist role is new in Carebox. To date we have used outsourced services and distributed responsibilities to maintain our cloud-based company IT infrastructure, which centers on Office 365 (though we also use Google Drive).
As IT Specialist, you will be responsible for managing our O365 environment – with an emphasis on Exchange. You’ll also be responsible for evolving and implementing our approach to endpoint device management (including remote monitoring and security solutions), employee onboarding/offboarding, and general IT support.
As the sole individual in the company dedicated to our company IT infrastructure, you will be responsible for process definition, documentation, and execution in support of our certification efforts in various information security, data privacy, and quality areas.
The role reports into VP of Services in the US, as the main focus will be on supporting our US team. However, the role is global in nature. There will be dotted-line relationship for technology guidance from our VP Engineering in Israel, where relevant.
As IT Specialist you can expect to:
· Implement and process an internal ticketing system for IT support requests from employees.
· Evolve, document, and implement our employee onboarding and offboarding processes from an IT perspective.
· Maintain our O365 and other corporate systems as Administrator.
· Lead initiatives to improve how we manage various aspects of our IT infrastructure – especially our email system (processing of spam, distribution list maintenance, etc.).
· Document and implement IT processes in support of Information Security and Quality certifications.
· Make recommendations for evolving our IT infrastructure in areas such as endpoint device management for mobile phones.
· Identify and engage external consultants and vendors where appropriate on various IT topics that require specific domain expertise.

What the Role Requires
This is a full-time position with flexibility in hours worked. This is primarily a home-based role though we are focusing our search in the San Antonio area where we have a hybrid-work office environment for some of our Services team. This is where your manager works several days a week and it will be helpful and required to meet with her in person periodically. Key technical skills:
· Experience with IT support processes and ticketing.
· Strong general IT background with emphasis on Windows but also Mac endpoints.
· Familiarity with cloud-based corporate IT environments including VPNs
· Strong familiarity with Microsoft O365 – especially Exchange.
· Microsoft PowerShell expertise and experience.
· Familiarity with endpoint support (laptops and mobile phones) in a corporate setting including remote monitoring and endpoint device management.
· Familiarity with information security, privacy, and quality regulations such as SOC 2, ISO 27001 and 9001, HIPAA, GDPR, and others.
· Experience writing and maintaining process documentation.
