Job Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals, catering to dietary needs.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, vacuuming, and maintaining a clean living space.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.
- Provide medication reminders as directed.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, or social activities as needed.
- Monitor and report changes in the client’s condition to the appropriate supervisor.
- Encourage engagement in activities to promote mental and physical well-being.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a home care setting providing direct client care.
- Transportation: Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients and their families.
- Dependability: Must be punctual, reliable, and able to work flexible schedules, including weekends or evenings if needed.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 25 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with caregiving.
