Job Title: Caregiver for Male Client with Advanced Dementia (30 Hours/Week)
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced caregiver to support a male client living with advanced dementia. This is a part-time position offering 30 hours per week at a rate of $18 to 19.00 per hour.( based on experience)
The ideal candidate must have extensive hands-on experience working with individuals who have dementia, particularly in advanced stages. Patience, compassion, and a deep understanding of the behavioral, emotional, and physical challenges associated with dementia care are essential for this role.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Providing assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
- Preparing meals and assisting with feeding as needed
- Monitoring the client’s safety and well-being at all times
- Engaging the client in appropriate cognitive and physical activities
- Assisting with medication reminders and basic health monitoring
- Light housekeeping and laundry related to the client’s care
- Communicating effectively with the family and supervisor regarding changes in behavior or health
Applicants must have:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working with clients with dementia, preferably in a home or facility setting
- Strong knowledge of dementia-related behaviors, safety protocols, and communication techniques
- The ability to handle challenging behaviors with empathy and professionalism
- Authorization to work in the United States
- A Clean criminal background is a MUST.
