We seek caring and skilled individuals to offer personalized assistance to our clients in Queens. As a home health aide, you will contribute to delivering top-notch care and support in the comfort of their homes.
Main Duties:
- Provide personalized care services, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, tailored to each client's needs.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of patient vital signs and promptly communicate any changes or concerns to medical staff.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, fostering a sense of connection and community.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control practices and maintaining high standards of hygiene.
Essential Requirements:
- Certification as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) is mandatory.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and the importance of maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Ability to prepare simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Satisfactory completion of New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalent.
- Adequate literacy and basic arithmetic skills are essential for effective communication and record-keeping.
- Minimum age requirement is 18 years old.
