We're seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Home Health Aides to provide exceptional care to our clients in various locations across Nassau County, New York.
Duties:
- Personal Care: Provide assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting for patients in their homes.
- Mobility and Transfers: Assist patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate records of medication administration.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Monitor patients' vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen saturation, and report any changes or concerns to medical personnel.
- Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, promoting a sense of comfort and well-being.
- Environment Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Must be a Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) in the state of New York.
- Transportation: Possess reliable transportation for patient visits and agency-related activities.
- Schedule: Able to work a minimum of 35 hours per week and every other weekend.
- Eligibility: Eligible to work in the United States.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English, with the ability to speak and understand.
- Patient Confidentiality: Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations, maintaining confidentiality and integrity when handling patient information.
- Housekeeping Duties: Ability to perform light housekeeping duties, including cooking simple meals, as needed.
- Literacy and Arithmetic Skills: Demonstrated adequate literacy and simple arithmetic skills for effective communication and documentation.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
