Duties and Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing personal care to patients in their homes, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assisting with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients
- Administering medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel
- Providing emotional support and companionship to patients and their families
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful as a Certified Home Health Aide with CareConnect, you must:
- Be a Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) in the state of New Jersey
- Own reliable transportation
- Be eligible to work in the United States
- Be fluent in English
- Understand HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient confidentiality
- Have the ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed
- Satisfactorily complete a New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalency
