Duties and Responsibilities
- As a Caregiver for Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities, you will be responsible for providing daily living assistance to patients, including personal hygiene, mobility, and transfer support.
- You will also administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate records of medication administration.
- Additionally, you will offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, promoting a sense of comfort and well-being.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients is also a critical aspect of this role, requiring adherence to infection control protocols and hazard removal.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) in the state of NJ is mandatory.
- You must possess reliable transportation and be eligible to work in the United States.
- Fluency in English is required, as is an understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient confidentiality.
- A satisfactory completion of New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalency is necessary.
- You must demonstrate adequate literacy and simple arithmetic skills, as well as be at least 18 years old.
