Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Home Health Aide to provide high-quality care to patients in their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. They will also assist with mobility and transfers, administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals, and monitor vital signs.
In addition to these duties, the Certified Home Health Aide will provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
Required Qualifications:
- Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in the state of NJ
- Reliable transportation
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Fluency in English
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Able to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed
- Satisfactory completion of New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalency
- Demonstrated adequate literacy and arithmetic skills
- At least 18 years old
